About the Role:
Our busy Children & Adolescent Behavioral Services (CABS) program is interested in hiring an experienced and reliable Clerk II who can assist with general office duties, including checking in/out clients, answering phones, copying and scanning documents, filing, responding to emails and performing additional administrative duties as required. You will be the first point of contact for clients entering our clinic, so you must have a polite and friendly disposition, and be readily available to greet clients and direct them as necessary.This is a grant position working within the SAMHSA System of Care grant.
Location: 3010 Grand Avenue, Waukegan, IL
Hours: Monday, Tuesday and Thursday: 9:00am - 5:00pm; Wednesday: 11:00am - 7:00pm; Friday: 8:00am - 4:00pm
Skills and Experience
Perform various clerical duties which may include client opening and closing procedures, computerizing and reporting data, correspondence and reports, fees, filing, inventory/ordering supplies, photocopying, faxing and deposits.
Provide assistance to the clinical staff/MDs regarding general client needs.
Check in and check out clients.
May serve as receptionist for the program, which includes answering telephone, scheduling client appointments, collecting client payments and directing calls, as needed.
Obtain signatures, copies and information to verify third party coverage and process client billing.
Provide atmosphere of customer service in assuring that clients and co-workers are treated in a friendly and respectful manner. Displays positive attitudes and behaviors in the accomplishment of job duties.
Respond to inquiries, gives appropriate information and referrals, and documents, if necessary.
Acquire and utilize knowledge of LCHD/CHC database; word processing and NextGen software and other equipment commensurate with position.
Education, Qualifications, and Certification:
Requires a high school diploma or G.E.D. certificate.
Requires 1 year of general office experience.
Spanish-speaking a plus.
