Our Executive Liability Division underwrites Directors’ and Officers’ Liability Insurance, Employment Practices Liability Insurance, and Fiduciary Liability Insurance for public, private and not for profit companies.

The Executive Liability Division is seeking an Underwriter who will work on asset management focused Financial Institutions business. The position will be located in the Schaumburg, IL office or remotely depending on level of experience. The role of the Underwriter is to market, underwrite and produce profitable business. The Underwriter must have the ability to relate to people easily in order to develop effective customer partnerships.

  • Responsible for an assigned book of business in which account information is evaluated, underwritten and priced within authority guidelines. Has responsibility for risk selection/rejection, retention, growth and profitability within scope of authority and per divisional objectives.

  • The position requires the ability to assess private and public company management liability risks. You will be tasked to review applications, audited financial statements, publicly available information and other supporting details. Based on the determination of risk levels, the underwriter is tasked with making recommendation on pricing, terms and conditions.

  • Maintains a high level of customer service. Communicates directly with brokers and Insureds. Promptly issues quotes, policies and endorsements.

  • Proactively develops and maintains strong broker relationships.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Prior experience is not required.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or other Business related field, inclusive of financial statement analysis skills.

  • High level of organizational skills, ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in order to leverage customer relationships, and for marketing products and services.

  • Able to work autonomously.

  • Must be open to future travel.
