Description

  • Developing and integrating software for existing embedded systems

  • Reviewing customer requirements and specification and developing software and hardware solutions

  • Field Commissioning and Development of new Machine Applications

  • Maintaining, organizing, and building software libraries and solutions

  • Machine software architecture design

  • Electrical subsystem design

  • Existing machine and component electrical and software, mapping and dissection

  • Specification and application guide development and drafting

  • Design and promote new components and sub processes

  • Perform needs analysis and initiate ideas

  • Evaluate new products, processes, or systems

  • Communicate results to customers, suppliers, team members, and other business units

  • Perform product maintenance

Typical Day

  • Candidate will be working under a team lead to manage 3-5 projects at a time.

  • Candidate will be interaction with customers and resolving customer requests.

  • Travel may be to job sites to troubleshoot software packages (3-5 times per year)

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in an accredited Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering

Technical Skills

  • 5-10 years experience overall:

  • 3 + years experience in Engineering -- 1 + years experience in Embedded Machine Systems

  • Ability to read and program SAE J1939 Embedded Networks

  • C++ Software Programming Knowledge - 5 years minimum

Desired:

  • client machine or subsystem software development experience

  • Experience in with Software Development, Test, and Commissioning

  • Experience with embedded machine networking systems such as Flexray, Ethernet

  • Knowledge of Sensor and actuator signal processing

  • Familiarity control modules and their hardware abstraction layer processing

  • Mechanical aptitude, and the ability troubleshoot electrical and mechanical machine systems

  • Willingness to travel globally and work technically with different cultures

  • Experience with Machine or Component Software and Controls Design and Programming
