Lead UX Designer
The Redbox UX Design Team Lead provides vision, planning, oversight and sign-off on all design team deliverables (e.g., wireframes, prototypes, comps, flow diagrams, customer journeys, customer journeys) for our responsive web, mobile app, kiosk, and consumer electronic device touch points.
Creating, communicating and managing project plans for User Experience (UX) asset delivery. This includes risk mitigation and issue resolution.
Creating design strategies and providing design vision to designers. May include creating Point of View (POV) presentations, customer journeys, flows and design sketches.
Ensuring User Centered Design (UCD) is inserted to the design process with appropriate integration of feedback from customers and stakeholders.
Negotiating design implementation with stakeholders to ensure decision-making is focused on delivering customer and business value.
Being responsible for the holistic experience. Aware of the complete customer journey and actively working to address pain points and explore opportunities.
The pursuit of innovation fueled by a passionate understanding of the industry, user needs, and technology capabilities.
Rolling up sleeves when necessary to produce wireframes.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in design or related field required
Masters in Human Computer Interaction (HCI) or related field preferred
Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in a design role
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Strong UX and visual design acumen.
The ability to juggle several projects and make smart decisions that balance quality, time and resources.
Ability to skillfully manage internal conflict in order to produce designs that delight customers and meet business needs.
Ability to factor in the big picture while also being able to pay attention to details.
Ability to energize cross-functional teams.
Ability to mentor junior designers.
Sedentary work involves remaining in a stationary position most of the time in front of a computer, using a keyboard, mouse and telephone. Regularly operate a computer and other office equipment. Occasionally move about the work site to access file cabinets, office equipment, etc. Exert up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or regularly move objects. Communicate and exchange information with co-workers and other individuals in person and electronically.
