We were recently ranked in the top 25 of America's Best Midsize Employers by Forbes.The Solutions Design Director is responsible for leading of Hub's workflow design and participating as a core team member in development and implementation of a Transportation Management Software (TMS). Their primary accountability is process design enabled with a TMS ensuring that decision rights are embedded in the individual front line roles. As a member of the Solutions Design team they will lead advocacy of the design work and change management across all levels of the organization. This role ensures that our service capabilities evolve to best in class and become scalable to drive future growth. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:


+ Lead the collection, documentation, and process design for standard work practices with in our workflow for role based accountabilities


+ Collaborate with software provider and third party integrator to define work processes with in a software solution


+ Responsible to find areas where the technology solution can enable our process flows to automate and optimize work


+ Provide input for the development of the software to enable workflow and report back to the business the progress of development


+ Responsible for specific work streams to define, develop, and streamline with the support team of Business Unit Experts that support in development and implementation


+ Bi-weekly report outs to the Executive Team and Steering Committee on timeline, budget, workflow design, continuous improvement, communication, change management, and organizational readiness


+ Bachelor's degree is preferred but not required


+ Five or more years of experience in the truckload or intermodal segment is required


+ Excellent oral and written communication skills, organizational skills and analytic ability


+ Must possess leadership skills and have the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel, customers and vendors


+ Proficient with Outlook, MS office suite of programs


+ Must be able to work with other internal and external groups to achieve personal and company goals


+ Must be a self-starter and highly motivated individual


+ Ability to operate effectively with minimal supervision
