Seeking Laminator/Slitters for a Career Opportunity in Northlake, IL.
Our client is seeking Laminator/Slitters to work for their facility that manufactures plastic containment bags for the food industry. They will train candidates to grow into a senior positions within the company. Growth opportunities available, company will increase pay upon completing training and testing for advance positions under their pay for skills program. Safety is #1 at this Manufacturing Facility, it has an excellent safety record. It is a clean environment and accessible by the Pace 309 bus.

WORK LOCATION: Northlake, Illinois on the 309 Pace bus.
Starting Pay: $14.50 - $15.25 - (Pay Increase opportunities, $16.75/Days and $17.50/Nights after completing training)
Available Shifts: Monday-Friday 10 hour shifts
Am Shift: 5:30am-3:30pm (2 days a weeks its 12 hours 330am-330pm)
PM Shift: 3:30pm-1:30am (3 days a week its 12 hours hours 330pm-330am) CURRENTLY HIRING FOR THESE SPOTS
JOB DUTIES: The Laminator/Slitter is responsible for operation of the lamination or slitting process, quality of the product and the production yield.
Perform routine operational duties and general maintenance.
Achieve line standards, without sacrificing quality and/or safety.
Identify quarantine and correct film that is substandard.
Complete and maintain daily production/quality reports.
Print and accurately label rolls according to specifications (size, material type, gauge, shift and operator number)
Package finished laminate
Make bails and band material
Cut the cores according to length specifications.
Cut-off waste material, trim and finish/package laminate rolls in accordance with machine cycle and quality specifications.
Operate hoist and/or fork truck to load and unload rolls; Conduct hoist inspections each shift to ensure safe operation.
Complete hour-by-hour chart, Kaizen newspapers and other documentation in accordance to Lean principles.
Keep assigned area clean according to Lean principles.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED);
One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred but not required experience with the operation of the Hays Laminator & Duesenberg Slitting equipment systems.
Preferred but not required experience with the operation of Mono and Co-extrusion blown film equipment. (Sano/Brampton Engineering/Alpine), and all secondary componentry.
Preferred but not required to have experience with mixing various film structures using Process Control Blending Systems (LLDPE, LDPE, HDPE, EVA, PA, Nylon, and EVOH film structures)
