Responsibilities

n

In this exciting role at UL, the Sales Manager will lead in the development of a sales and growth strategy in the Energy, Power & Technology / Hazardous Locations Division. The Sales Manager is responsible for the management of sales directly to end users of ULs products or services in the United States.

In addition, identify and develop business opportunities outside of UL's existing or traditional safety clients and work to develop solutions to industry needs with Cyber Security, Global Market Access and the full portfolio of UL services to gain significant wallet share of existing and future UL business within new accounts.

+ Develops and motivates sales professionals by coaching and transferring the knowledge of sales techniques, service offerings, and industry knowledge to the sales team to drive results.

+ Lead client engagement by developing and managing relationships at the middle management and key decision maker levels for large and medium customers.

n

+ Manages sales transaction pipelines and forecasting.

n

+ Stays up to date with and understands latest market developments and trends.

n

+ Manages the performance of direct reports by developing accountabilities, establishing performance objectives, providing career counseling, feedback and guidance and ensuring that all policies are understood and adhered to.

+ Performs other duties as directed.

Qualifications

n

n

n

+ University Degree (Equivalent to Bachelors Degree) in a related discipline plus generally eight years of directly related experience.

n

+ Extensive knowledge of company policies and sales processes.

n

+ Requires the ability to gain cooperation of others, conducting presentations of technical information concerning specific projects or schedules to senior level management and customers.

n

+ Expert on sales strategies and tactics.

n

+ Significant business travel and work outside of the office is required.
