What you’ll learn & achieve:

We are currently seeking a motivated Electrical Engineer for our Consumer Technology team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to see exciting new technologies and services relating to Consumer Technology products such as Networking Equipment, Servers, Gaming Machines, Batteries, etc. You will be innovative and creative in growing this area of our business from the ground level. A successful Engineer partners with our customers to understand their needs, challenges, and products, and works with internal stakeholders to achieve results.

Our ideal candidate is someone with a technical background along with strong communication and project management skills who is focused on customer satisfaction. This person will be able to execute on commitments, present technical information in simple terms, and collaborate with lab and engineering.

Additional Responsibilities for an Electrical Engineer include:

  • Determining project scope, develops a preliminary plan of investigation, and determines project specifications such as cost, time, and sample requirements by analyzing client input, available supplemental data, and product construction.

  • Initiates communication with clients to promote and explain the benefits of new and existing services. Follows up on communication from clients.

  • Establishes appropriate test programs by reviewing files and manufacturer's information, examining samples, and applying UL requirements.

  • Coordinates laboratory activities by preparing data sheets and instructions to technicians, assisting and reviewing work of laboratory technicians, and establishing completion dates.

  • Communicates project status and results to clients through frequent contact and by preparing reports. Prepares UL Follow-Up Service Procedures and CB Reports.

  • Integrates continuous improvement concepts and techniques into all aspects of the job.

  • Resolves engineering issues associated with Variation Notices by analyzing and reporting on the acceptability of the variations.

  • May be asked to travel locally occasionally to witness testing or conduct construction reviews at customer’s facilities.

  • Performs other duties as directed.
