What you’ll learn & achieve:
Mission: Increase value within specific Customer Operating Unit (COU) within Testing, Inspecting and Certification (TIC) by direting the sale of UL's product or services. Develops sales strategies and forecasts sales volumes for all products / channels globally.
Develops and leads “thought leadership” positions for COU, collaborating with internal peers to drive consistent and coherent enterprise positions and with influential external stakeholders to ensure value and integrity in UL’s deliverables.
Provides technical guidance and support to executive and other functions in support of UL’s Mission and COU’s objectives.
Identifies potential new service products based on evolving technical standards and trends in line with evolving client demands and requirements within COU, collaborating with Product Management and Business Development to create the required service portfolio, beyond UL’s traditional business.
Guides and supports change initiatives and new business models
Champions an engaged, inclusive and attractive work environment for UL employees with a winning culture
Develops, communicates, and manages the successful performance of regional revenue goals.Manages budget
Understands and effectively leverages customer, industry, and internal sales information to drive performance and sustain a competitive edge.
Directs the development and execution of customer relationship plans that detail business goals and strategies which deliver customer solutions.
Monitors the accuracy and efficient distribution of sales reports and other intelligence essential to the sales organization. Recommends revisions to existing reports or assists in the development of new reporting tools as needed.
Collaborates closely with t to review sales process quality and proactively identifies opportunities for process improvements. Assists in understanding process bottlenecks and inconsistencies.
Provides support and direction for specific COU commercial challenges that have major impact on the business
Incorporates Board and Leadership feedback on strategy and actions
Builds personal relationships and establish credibility with (Extended) Core Team and Leadership Team members
Strong collaboration with Commercial Excellence team
Attends Leadership Team Meetings as necessary
Interacts with key customers and other stakeholders across the COU and enterprise
Attends industryy events and network with customers and key stakeholders
Engages in “deep dives” with big and complex customers
5-8 direct reports
Directs selection, training and assignment of staff to support the commercial interests of UL’s Mission-driven business, including working with other functions.
Understand the unique strengths and developmental areas of direct reports and the team
Establishes opportunities for growth to enhance career journey
Reports to COU Leader
Develops, communicates, and manages the successful performance of COU revenue goals.

Strong technical and business/economic foundation, including formal account planning, sales strategy development, sales tracking, and measurement.
Demonstrated ability to interact with customers throughout all levels of their organization which include highly visible activities such as negotiating or presenting.
Working knowledge of appropriate technical requirements documents (e.g. installation codes, standards, methods and regulations).

Generally 15 years of experience in sales with prior sales force management experience.
Strong technical and business/economic foundation, including formal account planning, sales strategy development, sales tracking, and measurement.
