Job Description

As the Content Consultant, you are responsible for ensuring that the intent surrounding the contract negotiation process is accurately reflected in the final document. You will work primarily with the CVS Trade team and small and mid- size pharmaceutical manufacturers on contracts for Rebates, Purchase Discounts, Services, Confidentiality and Settlements. These contracts must accurately reflect CVS Caremark’s current business strategies and must have approval from all respective business units, in accordance with the Contract Review and Approval Process SOP and all current regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities include:

  • You will collaborate with Trade Negotiators during contract negotiations with small and mid- size pharmaceutical manufacturers.

  • You will develop and lead the implementation of strategies for completing contract provisions / language related to all non-financial terms.

  • You will develop pharmaceutical manufacturer agreements for products, based upon the negotiated terms and conditions, in order to preserve the integrity of CVS Caremark’s financial position and assets.

  • You will track and maintain all stages of document process.

  • You will organize conference calls with manufacturer account representatives and/or legal counsel to finalize agreements/amendments.

Required Qualifications

3+ years Proficiency in Microsoft Word & Excel

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to handle a moderate workload with supervision and guidance from the Manager, Contract Operations

  • Ability to work independently with multiple departments and individuals


Bachelor Degree or equivalent work experience (5 to 8 years of experience)
