Crate & Barrel Associate Ecommerce Merchandising Specialist in Northbrook, Illinois

So we can continue to help others love how they live in moments that matter, the iconic brand is looking for a driven and passionate professional to raise the bar and join our eCommerce department as an Associate eCommerce Merchandising Specialist located in our Northbrook, IL corporate office.

This role is responsible for supporting the execution and optimization of the customer shopping path, merchandising presentation, promotional messaging and marketing content in assigned categories. They will have the ability to combine an understanding of what drives e-commerce sales, an interest in the home goods retail sector, and a passion for user experience to improve the onsite merchandising strategy to optimize both customer experience and business results.

  • Develop category expertise to drive sales and improve conversion by maximizing placement of products and digital assets to drive sales and customer engagement.

  • Support online seasonal visual merchandising strategy by execution of content across site and run quality control processes to ensure flawless execution. Track engagement with content and leverage insights to drive customer engagement optimizations.

  • Responsible testing all content and content links to ensure that information is accurate, accessible, and user-friendly across internet browsers and devices.

  • Review site daily with customer first mindset and make site updates and optimizations as needed. Identify and propose new site merchandising initiatives based on current trends and potential opportunities.

  • Evaluate trends in sales and the customer purchase path to make recommendations with the goal of increasing conversion.

  • Review online competitor site merchandising, promotional execution and user experience to identify opportunities, see ideas through to execution.

  • Create and present seasonal web hindsight on specific categories, user behavior, site metrics and relate findings to sales/performance. Review key performance drivers for assigned categories. Recommends and takes action based on findings.

  • In advance of promotions optimizing categories, in addition to make updates as needed throughout promotion based on data. Flawless execution of all site promotions.

  • Partner with design team to create assets to support execution needs.

  • Participate in team creative brainstorms and process optimizations.

  • Partner with UX team to continually evaluate customer shopping experience.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Retail and/or eCommerce Merchandising experience preferred

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to efficiently meet deadlines

  • Self-motivated, quick learner, and able to prioritize and multi-task effectively

  • Detail oriented; high attention to detail, process oriented, fast learner

  • Able to communicate effectively to cross-functional partners (product management, design, user experience, and QA)

  • Ability to collaborate and work on a busy and dynamic team

  • Desire to learn and implement principles of E-commerce and marketing

  • Positive, enthusiastic attitude and a natural problem solver

  • Tech Savvy; Google Suite (Gmail, GoogleDrive)

  • Good reading, written and verbal language skills (English)
