The Telecommunications Engineer researches, develops, designs, and evaluates communications systems and equipment, such as present and projected volume of communications, effectiveness and adequacy of system, and estimated equipment costs

Responsibilities

• Design or configure voice, video, and data communications systems

• Supervise installation and post-installation service and maintenance

• Provide unclassified and secret level telecommunications devices and services to users throughout the Command

• Provide telecommunications support including landline telephony management, data circuit management, and wireless device (e.g., smartphone, satellite phone, tablet, and hotspot) support.

• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Associate degree

• Four (4) years of experience in telecommunications

• Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Ability to solve challenging business problems.

• Possess analytical mindset, innovative and systematic problem solvers with excellent attention and calculation skills.

• Knowledge of telecom operations systems.
