There is unlimited opportunity for growth as you maintain operation of the refrigeration and utilities systemswhile striving for continual improvement in the Maintenance department.Position Overview:The successful candidate will ensure the proper maintenance and operational status of all plant refrigeration, boiler and associated utility systems and equipment in theMomence Packing Companyfacility. Affected equipment includes the plant refrigeration system, boilers, HVAC systems, plant water distribution system and support systems that are utilized by the plant. + Understand and follow all facility and department Safety rules and programs.

+ Operate all facility refrigeration, HVAC, boiler and utility systems.

+ Conduct preventative maintenance and repair of all plant refrigeration, HVAC, boiler and utility equipment and maintenance of plant production equipment as needed.

+ Troubleshoot electrical problems on all plant refrigeration, HVAC, boiler and utility equipment.

+ Coordinate Refrigeration/Utilities Technician for maintenance of the facility PSM program.

+ Assist in maintaining the plants HAZMAT program and equipment.

+ Train/Assist other members on refrigeration/HVAC basics, acting as mentor for the development of qualified Refrigeration Technicians.

+ Research parts needed for work/repairs and properly utilize the parts inventory and work order systems.

+ Cover areas of the facility as assigned by the Department Coach.

+ All other duties as assigned.

Typical Performance Indicators:

+ World Class safety performance of all Members that interact with the refrigeration and utilities systems.

+ Minimal refrigeration and utility downtime.

+ Overall improvement of the PSM program resulting in an overall improvement of the 3 year PSM audit.

+ Assistance in the creating of bench strength within the department for the refrigeration system.

Qualifications ( What you bring to the job):

+ A minimum of a High School Diploma required.

+ Must be able to legally wear a respirator to complete line breaks per OSHA regs. (must be clean shaven).

+ Minimum of 5 years experience in the industrial refrigeration and boiler field with solid skills in electrical, mechanical, and plumbing. Skills with PLCs are desirable. *

+ Minimum completion of a Class I Industrial Refrigeration School with RETA/CARCO Certification. *

+ Ability to understand P&IDs and assist with system design and changes. *

+ Understanding of PSM regarding compliance guidelines and requirements. *

+ Experienced in rea ing blueprints and schematics.

+ Familiar with Emergency Response Training (Level A, B and C).

+ Computer skills with Excel, Access, Word and Email systems (Lotus Notes).

+ Available to work overtime (end of shift and during previously scheduled days off).

+ Candidate should be teamwork oriented with great communication skills.

+ Must be willing to work on across all 3 shifts and be on call as needed.
