Job Description

DESCRIPTION

Apply basic electro-mechanical trouble shooting skills to perform preventative maintenance and equipment down repairs on Grohmann overmold cells & Arburg injection molding equipment as primary job function. Secondary function to support automated final assembly cells, Staubli & Adept robots, Allen Bradley, Omron, & Keyence PLC’s, spray & dip coating equipment, automated screwdrivers, conveyor equipment, etc.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Capable of troubleshooting mechanical & electrical systems – read schematics, use of multimeter.

  • Capable of troubleshooting PLC & Robotics controls – understands programming logic, teaching points.

  • Conducts basic tests or analysis on production equipment to determine operability. Applies standard troubleshooting techniques to determine and correct for malfunctions.

  • Capable of operating, troubleshooting, & performing maintenance on Grohmann overmold cells, Arburg injection molding equipment, etc.. as required.

  • Tooling – Safe use of power tools to fabricate non-precision parts ie. sensor brackets, etc..

  • Makes effective technical decisions and communicates them to Maintenance, Engineering, Production and Management to support root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.

  • Comply with and support the health, safety, and environmental programs, policies and procedures.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience

•High School Diploma or GED with 5 years experience installing, maintaining and repairing electro-mechanical manufacturing equipment.

•Equivalent – AS technical degree in related field with 2 years experience installing, maintaining and repairing electro-mechanical manufacturing equipment.

Experience and Skill Requirements

•Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

•Experience with Arburg Injection Molding & Grohmann equipment.

•Computer skills – Hardware/Software troubleshooting, Equipment programming skills, MS Office.

•Demonstrates a desire to learn, develop technical skills and formulate constructive ideas.

•Promote a positive attitude towards teamwork and the resolution of equipment issues.
