Final Assembly Maintenance Technician
Division A - Global Electronics
Apply basic electro-mechanical trouble shooting skills to perform preventative maintenance and equipment down repairs on Grohmann overmold cells & Arburg injection molding equipment as primary job function. Secondary function to support automated final assembly cells, Staubli & Adept robots, Allen Bradley, Omron, & Keyence PLC’s, spray & dip coating equipment, automated screwdrivers, conveyor equipment, etc.
Capable of troubleshooting mechanical & electrical systems – read schematics, use of multimeter.
Capable of troubleshooting PLC & Robotics controls – understands programming logic, teaching points.
Conducts basic tests or analysis on production equipment to determine operability. Applies standard troubleshooting techniques to determine and correct for malfunctions.
Capable of operating, troubleshooting, & performing maintenance on Grohmann overmold cells, Arburg injection molding equipment, etc.. as required.
Tooling – Safe use of power tools to fabricate non-precision parts ie. sensor brackets, etc..
Makes effective technical decisions and communicates them to Maintenance, Engineering, Production and Management to support root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
Comply with and support the health, safety, and environmental programs, policies and procedures.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience
•High School Diploma or GED with 5 years experience installing, maintaining and repairing electro-mechanical manufacturing equipment.
•Equivalent – AS technical degree in related field with 2 years experience installing, maintaining and repairing electro-mechanical manufacturing equipment.
Experience and Skill Requirements
•Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
•Experience with Arburg Injection Molding & Grohmann equipment.
•Computer skills – Hardware/Software troubleshooting, Equipment programming skills, MS Office.
•Demonstrates a desire to learn, develop technical skills and formulate constructive ideas.
•Promote a positive attitude towards teamwork and the resolution of equipment issues.
