VMware Senior Sales Engineer, EUC - Opportunity for Working Remotely in Lisle, Illinois

This position is a End User Computing Pre-Sales Solution Engineer focused on all technical aspects of End User Computing opportunities within Healthcare accounts.

The VMware Solution Engineer plays a critical role in building and sustaining customer relationships with a list of Healthcare customers while driving the adoption of VMware solutions. The EUC SE is responsible for discovery of customer needs, proving out VMware solutions to meet them, and prescribing implementation roadmaps for long term success. You will be the expert in all things Desktop Virtualization and Enterprise Mobility.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • You will work hand-in-hand with the VMware Sales Team and EUC Sales Specialist sales teams.

  • Driving all pre-sales motions such as: technical sales presentations, architecture design discussions, daring displacement, proof-of-concept engagements, RFP/RFI responses, solution demonstrations, and technical workshops.

  • Drive the adoption of Horizon (VDI) and WorkspaceOne within healthcare accounts moving current installations from departmental to enterprise.

  • You will be driving the adoption of VMware products and solutions in large scale, enterprise healthcare accounts

  • You will build consultative relationships with their customer, effectively becoming a trusted adviser to your customer.

  • Engage with clients at many levels (Solution Architects, VPs, Directors of IT, and Technical Administrators).

  • Analyzes customer's business and technology objectives by asking probing questions that are meaningful to the customer

  • Craft and propose custom solutions that differentiate VMware software and services, and meet customer’s requirements and objectives

  • You will be the EUC SME presenting value proposition, technologies, strategy, and product roadmaps to all levels at your customer including executives, technical management, and technical engineers.

  • Engage and provide support for Channel Partners where appropriate.

  • Participate in customer and team relationship building.

  • Able travel up to 50% of the time (this is flexible, due to current Covid restrictions)

Required Skills:

  • You have been in the high-tech industry for 8-10 years in a Pre-sales or customer-facing technical consulting capacity.

  • You will have a strong understanding and experience managing presales motions with Healthcare Providers; fully grasping healthcare user experience and workflows.

  • End User Computing technical expertise; Desktop Virtualization: VMware vSphere, VMware Horizon, Citrix; Microsoft RDS

  • Experience with server administration and configuration (ex. Windows Web Server and Active Directory)

  • Possess knowledge of Enterprise Architecture and Design

  • Ability to build and present high-quality product demonstrations to both technical and executive audiences

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong background in EMM, UEM and IDM: VMware Workspace ONE, Microsoft EMS/Intune, Mobile Iron, Okta, Ping, and Desktop Virtualization: VMware vSphere, VMware Horizon, Citrix Apps; Microsoft RDS

  • Experience with configuring and deploying mobile device platforms (Android, iOS, Windows, etc.)

  • Experience with Identity Access Management including SAML authN

  • Experience with Microsoft desktop operating system and Windows application deployment, configuration and management

  • Windows Enterprise Administration

  • You will be immensely capable, an excellent communicator with a can-do attitude and will adapt to change with a real passion for the EUC technology space
