The role is responsible for management and continuous improvement of the cost of quality (prevention, appraisal, and failure costs) for the ENA organization. The position will identify, select, and lead projects which optimize customer satisfaction, quality, and cost. The individual be accountable for results of each improvement project through their leadership of cross-functional teams utilizing structured problem solving and Lean Six Sigma throughout the full value-chain.

Lead Improvement Projects utilizing DMAIC methodology and Lean Sigma Tools to improve business performance. Analyze full value-chain and implement solutions which optimize customer experience, quality, and cost for KONE.

Conduct follow-up visits and reviews to ensure compliance with system and procedures

Engage with operational and business line teams to gain alignment and support for business and process improvement projects

Develop innovative solutions to reduce waste, improve quality, and optimize costs

Conduct project reviews and provide feedback/assessment to business owners and leadership on the performance of individuals participating in cross-functional improvement teams

Participate in and lead portions of Management Reviews and ALT updates

Requirements:

  • Min 5 years of experience in Quality, Continuous Improvement, LEAN or Six Sigma

  • LSS Black Belt or Equivalent

  • Proven project management skills

  • Leadership skills with proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in a matrix reporting structure.

  • Technical or Business (BS / BA) degree from an accredited college or university with at least 10 years progressive experience in business and quality improvement, or

  • an MBA or Masters with at least 5 years progressive experience in business and quality improvement

  • Written and spoken English, other languages are an asset

  • Quality methods and tools

  • Analytical skills and experience utilizing Lean Six Sigma or other proven quality tools and methods in a multi-facility operation

  • Leadership and ability to influence without authority

  • Demonstrated success directing improvement teams

  • Project management skills

  • Ability to work in cross-functional/matrix teams

  • Flexibility to travel (50% of time) throughout North America for site visits, process mapping, Kaizen, Workshops, and other data collection or improvement related activities

  • Willingness to initiate, lead, and implement change

  • Strong interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communication

  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedures / manuals which can be utilized by all levels of the organization

  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from middle management through senior leadership

  • Ability to effectively evaluate business performance, develop an improvement strategy, and lead individual projects/initiatives which optimize customer value, quality, and cost.
