As a senior member of the ADD Division Global Ops Project Management Office, manage multiple large projects or small portfolio of medium projects using Project Management Body of Knowledge principles. PMP certification is a plus.

Core Job Responsibilities:

Implement and maintain the effectiveness of the quality system.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Manage major projects with high complexity or a portfolio of large projects using Project Management Body of Knowledge principles. PMP certification is a plus.

  • Lead the team through the translation of management and customer needs into project goals. Define schedules, milestones, resource requirements and cost, participate in the funding process. Develop implementation plans; conduct risk assessments; and develop "what if" scenarios and implement contingency plans to allow for and accommodate unforeseen events and changes in strategy.

  • Assure that projects will effectively integrate with existing programs and strategies so that long and short-term business goals are attained, negotiate project outcomes and deliverables to meet the conflicting demands of time, money and deadlines.

  • Monitor actual vs planned variances/expenditures. Conduct a post completion audit to verify benefits versus costs, both development and operating.

  • Identify and drive process improvements across multiple projects to accelerate current and future project progress.

  • Influence organization to level load work centers to meet project or program needs.

Position Accountability / Scope:

Accountable for the successful completion of project tasks on time and within budget.

Accountable for managing resources (direct and matrix) assigned to project regarding project tasks.

Resources could be 10 or more team members from different operations and technical functions. Includes

mentoring and providing feedback within a team and across other groups.

Reports to Program Manager or in some cases directly to Program Director (depending on project complexity; project impact; and program organizational structure)

Minimum Education

Knowledge of regulations and standards affecting IVDs and Biologics.

Bachelor degree in a discipline appropriate to the project environment. Degree in a technical or scientific

discipline or equivalent experience relevant to project area preferred.

Project Management Professional (PMP) or Lean Six Sigma (LSS) certification preferred. MBA considered a plus.

Minimum Experience / Training Required

Minimum of 7 years’ experience with at least 3 years’ experience leading projects involving the application of general business principles. Demonstrated ability to work in a large/complex company environment. Technical, manufacturing, quality, or supply chain experience in a health care/medical company preferred.
