The primary role of this position is to support planned and ongoing clinical trials including sample size estimation, writing or reviewing statistical analysis plans, reviewing protocols, reviewing tables, listings and figures, and providing input into clinical study reports.
Lead,develop,andcoordinatebiostatisticalactivities for ClinicalDevelopment, ClinicalOperations,MedicalAffairs,and BusinessDevelopment
Providestatisticalexpertiseand leadership to ensureprogram objectivesareinalignmentwith regulatory and commercialneeds
Evaluate and implement innovative statistical techniques that will provide benefit to Horizon clinical development programs
Contribute to strategicplanning and go/no godecisionguidance
Participateinvendorselection for biostatistics,statisticalprogramming,datamanagement,interactiveresponsetechnology(IxRS),and other serviceswhereindatastorageand analysis may beapplicable; manageandoverseebiostatisticsand statisticalprogramming tasks
Interactwith regulatoryagenciesand respond to requests
Participatein or manageBiometricsparticipation in risk-basedmonitoring plansand activities
Ensuretimelinessand quality of deliverables
Travelasneeded to executeassigned responsibilitiesand tasks
Qualifications and Skills Required:
PhD instatistics or relatedfield and atleast 5 years of industryexperience or MS instatisticsorrelated fieldand atleast8 years of industryexperience.
Excellentwrittenand verbalcommunication skills
Experiencewith peoplemanagementanddevelopment of staff
Comprehensiveknowledge of clinicaltrialsmethodology (experience with Bayesian methods preferred),regulatory requirements,andstatisticalsoftwarepackages.Experiencewith interventional,observationalandretrospectivestudies.Abilitytocontributestrategically.
Able to collaborateeffectively with internaland externalstudy managementteamstomeetprojecttimelines
Mustbesolution-orientedandwilling to educatestudyteam membersin appropriateinterpretation of designsand results
