Introduction:
Randstad Engineering Solutions is looking for a embedded software engineer to join our software team. The ideal candidate has experience with farming equipment or similar technology.
Job Description:
This position is for engineers who are motivated to contribute, learn and grow. The selected engineer will be assigned to multiples tasks, and it will be up to the individual to manage and prioritize the work. Some of the tasks includes:
Design and implement Software application for CNHI ECUs to monitor and control tillage implements
Follow and help improve software processes
Analyze and root cause software issues
Participate in code reviews
Design and execute unit tests
Estimate effort for software deliverables
Help define requirements and evaluate technical feasibility of implementation
Contribute innovative ideas to improve software on CNHI controllers
Industry: Heavy Equipment, Agriculture and Construction
Development Processes: Un-structured (e.g. ad hoc)
Development Environment: Simulink
Communication Skills:
Possess excellent communication skills and ability to interface with all levels of management
Required Skills:
Deep expertise in Model-Based Design using MATLAB® Simulink/Stateflow and Automatic code generation with Mathworks® Real-Time Workshop
Prior experience with C programming for embedded systems
Experience with CAN, J1939, UDS, ISOBUS, and ISO 11783 software/network protocols
Experience with close loop control systems and signal processing
Experience with Electro-Hydraulic or vehicle control systems for on/off-highway vehicle systems
These would be a plus:
Experience with Software Engineering tools such as DOORS, Polarion, JIRA, Git, Gerrit, Jenkins, and version management systems
Automotive / Commercial Vehicle / Farming experience
Experience with C# and CAPL programming
Familiar with Python script development
