Clerestory is seeking an experienced consultant and business leader to share in our success by:

  • Leading engagement teams to deliver our clients’ most important projects

  • Developing our consultants’ skills as an effective coach, mentor, manager and teammate

  • Contributing to the ongoing development of our firm and methodology

As a Manager at Clerestory, you will lead teams to partner with global corporations, midsize companies and entrepreneurial organizations across a variety of industries. You will solve big business problems by designing and implementing solutions that reduce costs, increase profitability, improve performance, and transform businesses. Together, we will get to the root cause of our clients' challenges and respond quickly with tactical solutions that build operational infrastructure for change by applying our proven skills in:

  • Process Reengineering

  • Organization Design

  • Technology Implementation

  • Training Design, Development & Delivery

  • Change Management

  • Communication Planning & Execution

  • Project & Program Leadership and Management

  • Merger & Acquisition Integration

Responsibilities:

Client Development

  • Act as a team lead on large and strategic projects by supporting Senior Managers and VPs in partnering with executives and decision-makers to develop, communicate and implement recommendations

  • Participate in developing proposals, statements of work, and client presentations for new business opportunities

  • Contribute to work plans, risk assessments, change readiness assessments and cost-benefit analyses for new prospects

  • Manage client teams to execute complex, multi-layered projects

  • Lead teams to implement our recommendations while demonstrating professional poise with clients

  • Interface with all levels of management both internally and at client sites

  • Assume ownership for client deliverables and manage individual and team utilization to ensure that project deliverables are generated in a timely manner

  • Identify new opportunities at current and targeted clients

  • Attend networking events and business-related social events

Staff Development

  • Mentor and develop staff on the job through both formal and informal feedback

  • Coach other consultants and actively participate in the performance management process

  • Participate in the development and delivery of Clerestory’s training curriculum

Firm Development

  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of Clerestory’s methodologies, training curriculum, knowledge assets, and marketing content

  • Actively participate in recruiting and retaining exceptional consultants

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree

  • Minimum of 5 - 12 years of applicable, project-based business experience

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Professional poise and business maturity

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Experience developing business cases and cost/benefit analyses

  • Experience reengineering business processes

  • Experience with organization design

  • Experience designing training programs

  • Experience with enterprise-level technology implementations

  • Ability and personal charisma to earn respect and influence decisions

  • Experience managing teams and projects simultaneously and profitably

  • Attention to detail in the context of the big picture

  • Ability to work well under deadline pressure

  • Willingness to travel to client locations (local, suburban and out-of-town), up to 80%
