Topco Associates has an exciting new opportunity for a Human Resource Manager to join their team in Elk Grove Village, IL.
The Human Resource Manager is a key Business Partner in a highly visible role providing strategic, consultative and advisory services to multiple programs and functions. This role will drive HR strategy, provide leadership coaching, establish priorities and improve program success by enabling leaders to attain their business objectives by developing and implementing effective solutions to enhance employee experience while aligning with Topco’s culture. This individual will be responsible for effective administration and maintenance of HR programs/ policies/ practices/ onboarding and serve as an employee advocate for assigned client teams. They will be assisting the Director, Human Resources & Facilities to ensure all HR related matters are managed in a seamless & consistent manner.
Responsible for the provision of HR expertise to business functions and programs in all aspects HR
Ensure that HR policy & advice to client groups is in accordance with employment law, strategy and best practice
Advise, support and coach managers on addressing and dealing with employee related issues
Advise clients with the development of the most appropriate organizational structures and bring about effective organizational and cultural change
Partner with clients to build high performing teams
Partner with clients to create and manage a workforce strategy and support execution
Participate in the selection process where appropriate
Maintain all the above in line with HR reward policies
Assist with the implementation of Talent Management policy including implementation of key programs in client areas including supporting organizational changes, internal transfer/mobility initiatives; assessment and development
Assist in the implementation of reward (i.e., TopNotch, compensation) policy including pay review, benchmarking; and performance related pay and reward
Conduct exit interviews
Develops, recommends and implements personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains policies and procedures, annual re-evaluation of policies
Evaluates reports, decisions and results of department initiatives in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of services performed
All other duties as assigned
BA/BS degree from an accredited university or college is required.
Preferred degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Organizational Effectiveness or related field.
8 years of experience providing strategic HR partnership to various levels of leadership; deploying traditional HR policies/ programs/ practices (performance appraisals, succession planning, organizational design, communications management, employee relations, employee development, workforce planning and employee relations).
Prior experience implementing successful organizational change initiatives.
Must be an innovative thinker.
Must exhibit excellent communication and consultative skills with an excellent ability to influence others Strong facilitation and presentation skills.
Demonstrates proficiency in conducting HR analytics – analyzing data and making appropriate recommendations.
