Applied Materials Process Quality Applications Manager - (E4) in Elgin, Illinois
This technical position will lead APG’s efforts to further Process Quality Solutions covering Equipment Automation, Recipe Management, Statistical Process Control (SPC), Fault Detection and Classification, and Run-to-Run/Advanced Process Control. These efforts include propagation of the above-mentioned technologies into semiconductor and other adjacent industry segments such as battery, LED, printed circuit board manufacturing, etc. The selected candidate will need to be a visionary thinker who can take customer requirements and envision the combination of right technologies and approaches to address them. The successful candidate is required to have 7 years or greater experience in working with and deploying the above-mentioned technologies in semiconductor or related-industries. Experience in building business and strong business acumen is a plus. Candidates need to have the ability to work with internal groups such as sales, marketing, engineering and series. Understanding the requirements for process quality & their use cases, competitors in this domain, and value of these solutions to manufacturing is a necessary pre-requisite. An understanding of the entire CIM solution landscape that includes MES, planning and scheduling is a plus.
Special Requirements
Minimum of 7 years of Process Quality experience (combination of EA, RMS, SPC, FDC, APC)
Knowledge of competitors and their strengths and weakness.
Experience in communicating the value propositions for these offerings.
Strong understanding of factory KPIs and practical experience driving their improvement
Able to work in cross-functional teams
Skilled in critical thinking and problem solving
Strong communication skills
Strong presentation development skills
International and domestic travel required
