Our team is currently looking for a Customer Support - Service Writer to keep up our level of commitment to customer service. *ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES *include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Strong Knowledge of truck parts - All Make

  • Interprets customer needs on telephone or in Customer Support Center to fulfill service needs of the customer – as determined by the customer.

  • Retail focus – Customer Relationship

  • Solicit sale of new or additional parts or services.

  • Utilizes computer system for entering and updating customer orders, maintaining accurate inventory, and closing invoices to customer.

  • Communicating with customer in person, over the phone and using electronic (web-based) tools.

  • Handle all walk-in service counter customers

  • Answer service related phone calls

  • Process all Customer Support and technician time accounting on a daily/ weekly basis

  • Handle parts procurement for Road Service Technicians

  • Handle shop tooling and repair needs

*CSR – Service *Responsibilities include opening and closing of all repair orders. This includes initial check-in of vehicle (via phone and in person), obtaining necessary repair approval, creating initial repair estimate, factor pricing on all repairs, obtain required billing data including Purchase Order numbers, and final closure of customer pay and warranty repairs.

QUALIFICATIONS

While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to write an accurate, descriptive and clear repair order for work to be performed. The employee is required to efficiently and accurately enter the order information into a specialized computer system, and effectively participate in self-directed work teams.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and three months’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. A technical background with trucks, engines and transmissions will be helpful.
