Children's Home and Aid Data Support Specialist in East St. Louis, Illinois
Every 3 minutes, someone calls Children’s Home & Aid for help for a child. Be a part of answering the call. Children’s Home & Aid’s Child Care Assistance Program administers subsidized child care for eligible parents and families throughout 7 counties in Southern Illinois. The Data Support Specialist works as a key team member in the Child Care Assistance Program, acting as the hub of client intake and setting the pace for services. The minimum starting pay for this position is $11 per hour. Starting salary is adjusted based on skills and experience.
Interact with all members of CCAP team, receiving incoming client information and then validating and distributing it to the appropriate team member.
Enter handwritten client information into the online CCAP database.
Maintain a database of child care providers, community resources, and records.
Perform other data entry tasks, which include general keyboarding and scanning documents.
Receive and sort incoming mail.
Provide backup support for receptionist, as needed.
High School Diploma or GED required; some college preferred.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products; keyboarding experience required.
Data entry experience preferred.
Must have effective time management skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects.
Desire to work collaboratively with teammates and the public required.
