The Director, Commercial Finance will primarily be responsible for partnering with the Commercial Team including Sales, Marketing and Customer Care. Core responsibilities include managing the entire commercial FP&A process for revenue, standard margin & departmental expenses, managing the strategic pricing process, sales reporting and full execution of commission planning, execution and reporting. The candidate needs to be heavy focused on process excellence and improvement, while ensuring the appropriate controls are in place. The incumbent must also possess strong leadership ability, having the ability to partner with senior leadership across the org to drive performance, investments and accountability while feeling comfortable to voice opinion and challenge the team for ongoing improvement and performance. This role will be a key member in the Dental Division Finance Team and will help in the transformation of the Finance Organization, as well as retaining, recruiting and training a world class commercial finance team. #CB

What you will do

n

Commercial FP&A Cycle:

n

n

+ Partners with LT in the preparation & coordination for all forecast cycles for Revenue, Margin & departmental expenses, including Budget, Quarterly Forecasts & Strategic Planning scenarios.

n

+ Leads the preparation & coordination for Monthly Business Reviews for the US Dental Division, driving ongoing improvement to financial visibility in each review.

n

+ Owns Commercial Dashboards - builds, maintains & improves reporting on an ongoing basis.

n

+ Oversees full sales & franchise reporting including:

n

+ Daily Win Loss (Orders, Sales, Backlog & Trends).

n

+ Sales Effectiveness Metrics.

n

+ Pricing, Mix & Volume Metrics.

n

+ Daily/weekly/monthly standard & ad-hoc reporting with S&OP tie in.


n

Sales / Deal Creation / Pricing:

n

n

+ Ensures appropriate pricing controls are in place on both a SOX and compliance basis.

n

+ Partners with Sales, Marketing & Customer Care on annual pricing strategy & simplification.

n

+ Ensures business partnering with Commercial & Legal team while improving turnaround time:

n

+ Contract & Committed Pricing Agreements.

n

+ RFP Responses | DSA Agreements | Customer QBRs | Contract Analytics.


n

+ Leads development of world class process utilizing appropriate checklists, process & systems.


n

Commissions:

n

n

+ Manages sales commission & quota process; ensure accurate & timely commissions payments.

n

+ Drives simplification & enhancement of commission plans and execution.

n

+ Continues to utilize Xactly Software to drive automation while improving efficiency & reporting capability.


n

General Leadership / Commercial:

n

n

+ Builds out commercial finance team ensuring a hands-on approach with strong business partnering across the extended team.

n

+ Attracts, trains and retains top talent, performance manage as needed.

n

+ Drives simplification and standardization that can be applied globally across the commercial function & finance team.

n

+ Partners with CFO and Business Leadership team on ongoing initiatives

What we are looking for

n

n

n

+ Degree in Accounting or Finance and/or MBA preferred.

n

+ Minimum of 8-10 years of accounting experience.

n

+ Experience in preparing, analyzing, and implementing accounting and reporting requirements in a global environment, global manufacturing preferred.

n

+ Successful Commercial Finance Management experience is required.

n

+ Experience with SalesForce, SAP and COGNOS preferred.

n

+ Excellent computer and technological skills, including high proficiency in Hyperion and Microsoft Office Applications preferred.

n

+ Superior verbal and written communication skills.

n

+ Works effectively in a team environment, within and outside of the Finance Department.

n

+ Consistently operates at the highest level of integrity and is never willing to compromise with regards to ethical standards.

n

+ Must be able to build strong partnerships, especially with the FM and Business Unit Senior Managers, and conduct frequent communication with finance peers. These relationships must be built on respect, integrity, cooperation, teamwork and professionalism.
