Summary

  • Oversee information technology projects for Baxter’s Renal Care and Acute GBU organization, with management responsibility of the portfolio

  • Manage relationships with the business stakeholders of the projects, the business project leads, and the lead from the different areas that are required in each of the projects; including the internal IT groups.

  • Keep balance between supply and demand on IT products and services surfacing and shaping demand according to supply limitations and/or potentials and in line with the GBU strategies and guidelines

  • Ensure all Baxter IT quality and security standards are applied consistently across our the portfolio

  • Drive culture of agility and speed in order to keep pace with the business and the market

  • Ensure compliance with objectives in delivery of IT services to business level and strategy, acting as an agent technology facilitator of change exploring and introducing new technologies relevant to the strategy of the organization

  • Lead, Execute and/or Support projects with medium to high complexity related to the Renal Care GBU and Acute GBU portfolio

  • Explore an introduce new technologies relevant to the Business

  • Demonstrate solid business knowledge, able to perform tasks with minimum direction, give guidance to others, handle complex problems, etc.

  • Work as a team with the functional leaders of projects in documentation, planning, monitoring of activities, communications, execution of activities and control of the project process of the area. Analyze and make decisions that have cross functional business impact.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Gather, understand and document business objectives, specifications and requirements on small/medium size projects.

  • Develop and execute unit/system test cases, scripts and plans.

  • Define, design, and document business flows and processes on small & medium size projects.

  • Define and articulate business rules required for data accuracy and consistency. Identify and resolve data quality issues. Act as the primary contact for the data management process between IT developers and the business.

  • Provide end-user support on applications supported within the organization.

  • Identify, analyze, propose and document appropriate solutions for problems and issues that may impact the project. Identify and understand issues that may impact day-to-day operations and/or project costs. Use technical tools for (queries, process maps, etc.) for problem resolution.

  • Understand and follow appropriate SDLC/AGILE, quality validation processes and application processes.

  • Communicate status, solutions and concerns. Disseminate information in a timely manner within the team and across functions or teams. Establish and maintain relationships within the business or function.

  • Provide cross-functional and business knowledge to develop business system and process alternatives.

  • Train others as appropriate on specific area of business or systems expertise. Assist in development of training materials

Lead and/or execute the activities required from the point of view of information technology that are necessary for the success of the projects.

  • Analyze business processes.

  • Identify, evaluate, develop and/or redesign systems and procedures to meet user requirements.

  • Create detailed written user requirements for developers.

  • Provide consultation to customers on business process redesign.

  • Assist in the development of system documentation and training materials as well as training processes.

  • Design, build, execute and / or implement programs, queries, interfaces, manuals or other elements of information systems required within project execution activities

Qualifications

  • Leadership and teamwork skills.

  • Understanding of business concepts and knowledge of industry technologies.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to motivate, train and lead.

  • Sense of urgency with strong follow-up skills.

  • Must be detailed oriented and able to work with in a team setting.

  • Project Management experience >4years.

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or similar.

  • Any of this certifications are desired PMI, Agile, SCRUM and/or Lean Six Sigma
