As an Account Executive , you will take the lead on accounts and provide multiple layers of support in maintaining, expanding and servicing the unique needs of each of our clients. This person will be responsible for strengthening new and existing relationships by actively investigating clients’ needs through effective questioning and listening. This individual must be able to prioritize objectives in an ever-changing and fast-paced environment and demonstrate advanced knowledge of current healthcare industry and trends. Additionally, this individual should have a proactive servicing approach, a strong sense of urgency responding to client matters on time, and advanced problem solving skills. This person must excel in providing the best-in-class strategic account development and service to existing clients while working collaboratively with our Benefit Consultants to help uncover new business opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Cultivate and maintain executive-level relationships with clients.

  • Manage daily communications, deliver clear and concise presentations with enthusiasm and passion, and hold regular face-to-face meetings.

  • Responsible for overall client strategy. Identify problems, summarize and develop strategic solutions that incorporate the client’s mission and vision.

  • Execute overall client strategy and ensure high level of client satisfaction and exceptional service delivery through education on products, processes, and services and communication around due dates, timelines, and actions needed.

  • Manage complex issues (conflicting data, client objections, industry trends, carrier issues, etc.) and work to offer solutions to both internal and external stakeholders.

  • Communicate with Operations to confirm service delivery requirements and manage client expectations.

  • Implement new accounts and products by preparing necessary documents and ensuring that they are signed and submitted timely.

  • Become proficient in all plans and products in the assigned book of business and act as a senior internal resource to the client service team.

  • Partner with other teams to ensure client needs are met and that actions are compliant with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree, required.

  • Life and Health Insurance State License, required.

  • Professional Certification (GBA, PHR, CLU, CEBS, CBP), preferred.

  • Minimum 10 years insurance carrier and/or insurance brokerage experience.

  • Advanced knowledge of:

  • Health and Welfare Plans - HMO, PPO, CDHP

  • Ancillary Coverage including Life, Short and Long Term Disability, Dental, Vision, etc.

  • Broad understanding of the various regulations surrounding health and welfare plans.

  • Computer skills with proficiency in Word, Excel (creating and verifying financial spreadsheets) and PowerPoint.
