Roles and Responsibilities
Understand and apply the enterprise policies, procedures, standards, and framework for governance, risk & compliance.
Collaborates with key stakeholders to gain a common understanding of the control breakdowns or missing controls from various sources (self-identified from functional areas, incidents, control testing, second line of defense, internal and external audit/exam) to define a specific commitment to strengthen the control or implement the missing control
Participate in the Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Actions exercise with the Site Reliability Engineering team to identify potential process breakdown or control missing for issue intake.
Collaborates with key stakeholders to decompose the specific commitment into Remediation Plans with milestones and target dates
Participates in the development and refinement of the Risk Portfolio Management processes and cadences.
Leverages existing PayPal ERM tools and processes. Participates in the Technology Risk Management Portfolio cadences.
Drives awareness of Technology Risk Management within the organization through coaching, training, communicating, and workshops.
Communicates and evangelizes the Risk Portfolio Management team's vision and mission; and to partner organizations that the team will interact with regularly.
Participates in cadences with partner organizations in appropriate business and technology areas.
Constructs and maintains an evolving inventory of incidents to issues log with decisions
Develops and evolves capabilities and services to operate the Risk Portfolio Management function successfully and efficiently
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Management Systems 6 to 10+ years related experience (IT/Technology/Information Security Internal Audit, ERM, or consultancy).
Experience from Big-4 firms is a big plus. Deep understanding of risk management methodologies, frameworks, and principles (e.g. SOX, COBIT, NIST, CSA, ITIL, PCI, GDPR, etc.)
To evaluate and recommend best approach to mitigating risk Operate in a fast-paced, changing, and vague environment and able to handle a number of simultaneous projects and tasks while demonstrating urgency and ownership to drive to quality outcomes.
Innovate in the PayPal dynamic workplace by designing repeatable, sustainable processes that operationalize the risk management function Possess strong oral and written communication skills along with refined presentation skills
Collaborate with other functions and varying levels of management, including senior leadership.
Have strong ability to work with minimum direction and possess a high drive for results.
Process, analytical, critical thinking, and data skills Project management experience a plus Certifications highly desired (CISA, CIA, CISM, CISSP, CRISC, etc.)
