U.S. Bank Senior Risk Consultant - Multiple Locations in Chicago, Illinois
U.S. Bank is seeking a talented, Senior Risk Consultant. This candidate will partner with business lines, internal validation teams, and other Risk professionals to consult and advise on emerging risks and issues. Candidate will be responsible for evaluating potential risks, determining root cause for issues, and documenting well written issue statements. The role will involve designing processes to manage issue vetting effectively and efficiently and be able to create reporting on progress. Candidate must demonstrate: an understanding of risk management, ability to align issue remediation based on risk and business strategy, and effective communication skills.
Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
10 or more years of applicable experience
Considerable knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, financial services, and regulatory trends that impact information technology.
Considerable understanding of the information technologies and process and how they support business units.
Considerable knowledge of Risk/Compliance/Audit competencies
Strong process facilitation, project management, and analytical skills
Must possess business acumen and credibility to help business line(s) proactively identify and address changing environments to include technology and workforce.
Excellent presentation, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
Proficient computer navigation skills using a variety of software packages, including Microsoft Office applications and word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and presentations
Applicable professional certifications preferred
