Sodexo Sales Executive Combination Role in chicago, Illinois

This is a remote role with Sodexo and can sit near any major airport

Sodexo Government is currently searching for qualified candidtes for our open Sales Executive. This position will lead priority sales pursuits under the direction of a senior leader for the segment. The qualified candidate is preferred to have sales/business development experience in the federal/state and local markets. Sodexo Government is a Federal Contractor with revenue of of approximately $450M

This is a virtual position and the sales territory is national in scope. Currnet and new potential clients are located throughout the United States with a heavy concentration in the Washington, D.C. area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Works in collaboration with our government contracts, pricing, proposal team, operations and functional support teams to ensure delivery of subject matter expertise as needed in support of the sales process.

  • Interfaces with client representatives to obtain enhanced situational awareness, including an in-depth understanding of objectives, requirements, challenges and opportunities.

  • Directs and manages the Capature process processes as assigned and ensures that teams are adequately resourced and organized during each phase.

  • Develops and implements winning strategies, including team structures, delivery solutions, competitive analysis, and pricing strategies.

  • Responsible for the effective application and management of Sodexo sales processes throughout both the new business and business retention acquisition cycles.

  • Directs and shapes proposal volume production, including technical, management and price.

  • Initiates and manages the entire Capture Process, to include all details for bid/no bid process with leadership.

  • Develop and implement sales plan in support of achieving the revenue target for the government markets segment.

  • Achieve annual sales target.

  • Support key sales efforts in the government markets via subject matter expertise

  • Act with a sense of urgency and ownership in executing sales plans.

  • Collaborate with other market segments, Marketing Sales Distribution Center (MSDC) in order to coordinate sales efforts to existing clients.

  • Discipined use of CRM/Salesforce

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience, with directly related experience in business development, sales and marketing.

  • Demonstrated experience in and knowledge of business development in the facilities management, site services and/or food service market segments.

  • Documented record of sales success, preferably in the government services market space.

  • Highly developed organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to build teams, effectively collaborate and gain cooperation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced Degree and formal training in business development processes.

  • Business development experience in the Defense, Federal or Intelligence Community sectors.

  • Familiarity with Sodexo’s core businesses, including food service and facilities management.

Position Summary

  • Investigates and analyses new and expanded business opportunities; develops and maintains positive business relationships with new and existing clients; builds both internal and external networks

  • Examines client needs to maximize business and/or solutions for business concerns; performs cost-benefits and needs analysis

  • Embodies Sodexo Global Sales Academy and Selling the Sodexo Way framework; Leads the process for sales presentations, proposals, and assists in the development of contractual sales documents. and leads contracting strategy and negotiations

  • Develops and implements the business plan, budget and forecasts to achieve sales, market share, hit rates and market growth targets to attain overall financial goals, and fulfills all CRM reporting and data quality requirements

  • Researches growth strategies and competitor practices and strategies to evaluate and implement new strategies

  • This dual sales role is responsible for selling profitable new business and generating new revenue growth from the right clients under the right terms for Sodexo, and/or supporting retention or managing a portfolio of accounts. As a new sales developer, secures continued business development opportunities for the Company. As a retention specialist secures continued business with existing accounts. As an account management professional, maintains and maximizes client relationships. Develops business solutions to improve client operations and reduce operating costs based on knowledge of organizational strengths and weaknesses, technological advances, external trends, competitors and customer needs. Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

Basic Functional Experience - 7 years
