Oracle RVP Sales - Food & Beverage Industry Solutions in Chicago, Illinois
Overall responsibility for the regions sales, third party alliances, and customer satisfaction. Develops and implements a comprehensive strategy that maximizes Oracle's opportunities across all products and product lines.
Manages and develops a team of sales representatives including recruiting, hiring, and training new reps on the Oracle sales process. May manage a Regional Manager or Branch Manager. Sells and promotes the sales of Oracle products to customers including negotiating price, other concessions and terms and conditions of the sale. Participates in strategic and tactical planning for the division. Builds working relationships with license, consulting and education field managers in the respective territory to develop joint account plans. Develops and execute a territory plan to maximize revenue. Generates and achieves monthly territory forecasts, and accurately predicts revenue on a monthly basis. Manages escalation. Conducts weekly progress meetings with sales team.
Directs and ensures the implementation of operational policies through subordinate managers. Interacts internally and externally with executive management involving negotiation of difficult matters to influence policy. Functional expertise and broad company knowledge.

As a Sr. Sales Director you will bring your energy and enthusiasm for positioning our F&B solutions into the hospitality marketplace.
You will engage and connect with key stakeholders both internally and externally to navigate sales cycles and key reporting.
You will understand what motivates your team and know how to tap into those needs and desires in an effective way. This role manages a team of 5-6 individual sales contributors.
About your background and qualifications:
You demonstrate sound independent judgment, initiative, collaboration and leadership.
You exhibit exceptional written, verbal, presentation and negotiation skills.
Your management experience has a proven record of accomplishment of selling to large, complex accounts, working with C-level executives, qualifying prospects, solving problems and generating positive customer outcomes.
In this role, the team is focused new business development and desirable attributes and skills include:
Provides vision, planning & prioritization for team sales resources.
Coaching direct reports in sales strategy, pipeline management, opportunity management and career planning/training/development while eliminating roadblocks to team performance.
Collaborate to jointly develop territory strategies with marketing, client services, and other teams to maximize revenue in your region
Manages complex sales cycles with new customers while establishing and maintaining relationships with executive level contacts in order to win net new business.
Creates a strategy for realizing the team’s sales objectives, driving improvement across key sales metrics of their team including: close rates, average deal size and time to close through ongoing training, and coaching to a proven Sales Methodology.
Ensure team is executing on growth and retention processes, providing accurate forecasts (3-12 months out), and consistently exceeding team quota and metrics
Establishes and maintains a merit-based, dynamic work environment that appeals to the top talent in the field and enables operational objectives.
Leads and coaches the team structuring appropriate training and development and eliminating roadblocks to team performance.
Establishes and maintains relevant controls and feedback systems to monitor the operation of the team.
Apply a thorough understanding of the marketplace and industry trends to all management activities and strategic sales decisions.
Responsible for accurate pipeline reporting and quarterly sales forecasts.
Serves as an executive resource for on-site client presentations, technical inquiries, executive summaries, and contract negotiations.
Ensures the consistent and effective use of Sales CRM to track and record sales activity
Demonstrates a sense of urgency and takes initiative
Maintains flexibility and reacts to and manages change appropriately within the team
Receives and takes action on feedback for continual professional improvement and development
Takes measures to enhance body of knowledge and skill set through training
