We are currently looking for a Quality Control Inspector to work with our client located in Chicago, IL. Our client is a leading manufacturer in quality steel tubing products.
As a Quality Control Inspector you would be responsible for :
Inspecting the quality condition of tubing being produced
Inspect the dimensions of tubing being produced each hour
Performing physical property tests, such as tensile strength, flattening and bending properties
Performing microscope inspection of the weld zone
Receiving and investigating quality claims from customers
Taking corrective action for quality claims including meeting with production employees to correct problems
Inspecting quality of incoming coils when quality problems are detected by production employees
Assisting sales personnel when customers have a sales inquiry that involves product quality
Maintaining quality control inspection tools and machinery
Performing special projects and other miscellaneous duties as assigned by supervisors
Four year college degree or understanding of quality control received on the job training
Must have mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and problem solving skills
