Job Description

We are currently looking for a Quality Control Inspector to work with our client located in Chicago, IL. Our client is a leading manufacturer in quality steel tubing products.

As a Quality Control Inspector you would be responsible for :

  • Inspecting the quality condition of tubing being produced

  • Inspect the dimensions of tubing being produced each hour

  • Performing physical property tests, such as tensile strength, flattening and bending properties

  • Performing microscope inspection of the weld zone

  • Receiving and investigating quality claims from customers

  • Taking corrective action for quality claims including meeting with production employees to correct problems

  • Inspecting quality of incoming coils when quality problems are detected by production employees

  • Assisting sales personnel when customers have a sales inquiry that involves product quality

  • Maintaining quality control inspection tools and machinery

  • Performing special projects and other miscellaneous duties as assigned by supervisors


  • Four year college degree or understanding of quality control received on the job training

  • Must have mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and problem solving skills
