Capgemini America, Inc. has multiple openings for the position of Programmer/Developer 1 based out of its Chicago, IL U.S. headquarters. The employee may also work at various unanticipated locations. S/he will perform the following duties: utilize programming languages, tools, and frameworks to conduct computer programming/software development; perform requirements gathering/bug fixing/testing/ documentation/implementation of software systems; analyze/interpret computer system architecture/design/coding work to ensure adherence to programming/documentation policies; develop program logic for new IT applications or analyze/modify logic in existing applications; implement/maintain software applications; analyze requirements and maintain/test/integrate application components; ensure system improvements are successfully implemented; and assist with research/data analysis.
These positions require a bachelor’s degree, or its foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Applications, Information Technology, Information Systems, Business Administration, Engineering (any), or closely related field plus at least 1 year of experience in the job offered, as Software Engineer, Programmer, Application Developer, Systems Analyst, or related IT position.
The applicant must also have: any period of experience designing, coding, testing, and implementing customizations within software environment; any period of experience developing reports, workflows, and metrics within software environment; any period of experience performing application development in a Distributed Delivery model; any period of experience working in computer technologies, including SharePoint, for collaborative information sharing; and any period of experience working with programming languages, including Java, MS.Net, PL/SQL, ABAP, J2EE, Salesforce, Mulesoft, Tibco, Informatica, or Datastage.
