We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Program Coordinator to be part of our Social Work and Community Health team at Rush University Medical Center!

Position Highlights :

The Program Coordinator is a key member of the Social Work and Community Health (SWaCH) team. This position focuses on the Caregiver initiative program development and evaluation, financial oversight and business model development for existing and proposed department programs, grant writing, public speaking and relationship building. This position connects patients and community members to the Caregiver Initiative, Rush Generations program offerings and community resources, and may also serve as a representative of Health and aging social work in meetings and presentations.

This position is full-time, for a total of five days a week, which may include a combination of weekend days and/or evenings. Due to COVID-19, this will primarily be a remote position. Flexibility with a combination of working remotely and on-site may be available in the future.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develops mechanisms for budget and grants management.

  • Tracks grant requirements and progress toward outlined Caregiver Initiative goals.

  • Develops and tracks evidence to measure and report on "return on investment", charity care and other potential deliverables.

  • Increase reach of SWaCH Programs with a strategy to maintain loyalty among members, patients, and families as well as attract new members and patients.

  • Promotes development of SWaCH programs for support and educational activities in order to provide outstanding clinical services to maximize impact, external recognition and growth in coordination with other departments.

  • Gathers and organizes data to assure creation of reports and statistics.

  • Participates in quality improvement initiatives and outcome measures.

  • Participates in program evaluation and customer satisfaction activities.

  • Represents Rush SWACH at appropriate meetings.

  • Participates in marketing, communication, strategic planning, policy development with other team members and director.

Position Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in a behavioral science, or related field and two years of relevant work experience in a clinical setting or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience where the required knowledge, skills and abilities have been acquired. MSW degree preferred.

  • Knowledge of MS office/Internet applications.

  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills. Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Demonstrates initiative, resourcefulness, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Project management skills-work plan, meet deliverables, reporting, logistics, communication and budget.
