Salesforce is looking to hire an Analyst of Privacy Compliance and Communications to join the Global Privacy team. The successful candidate will have excellent cross-functional partnership and communication skills. The role will focus on embedding privacy requirements into business operations and will partner with Legal, Engineering, Security, Product and Business teams to build strategies and drive execution of key data privacy and protection initiatives and coordination of related activities. The role will report to the Senior Manager of the Privacy Compliance and Communications team and work very closely with the Global Privacy team.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining and coordinating the process and procedures for privacy-related inquiries and complaints, including from external parties.

  • Help establishing and maintaining a cross-functional team of “privacy advocates” to execute a common data privacy and protection vision across the Company.

  • Work with the Privacy team to roll out privacy requirements in partnership with Marketing, Employee Success, Enablement and IT by translating privacy policies and standards into procedures and guidelines.

  • Developing and delivering cross-functional training on privacy legal obligations.

  • Promoting and maintaining the program for privacy impact assessments.

  • Monitoring business compliance with established privacy requirements.

  • Partnering with Sales, Marketing, Employee Success, and IT to build and monitor new operational practices across the Company to ensure adherence to privacy program requirements.

  • Maintaining metrics and controls for the Global Privacy programs.

  • Assistance with privacy content creation for Salesforce’s strategic privacy messaging, including for internal and external privacy events, privacy website and white papers and trainings.

  • Develop positive, strong relationships with multiple cross-functional partners across Salesforce to accelerate the team's effectiveness and ability to deliver through complex, cross-functional tasks.

  • Maintain clear communication with all teams on a regular basis, through regular, recurring meetings to stay current with the needs of the business.

Qualifications and Experiences:

  • 3+ years of direct experience in operations and/or technology services roles.

  • Must be organized and possess a high level of knowledge of privacy and data protection and privacy operations (or strong willingness to learn about it).

  • Strong project planning and management skills; ability to break down complex problems into manageable goals.

  • Self-starter, results oriented, entrepreneurial style

  • Strong customer-service orientation toward internal clients and external customers.

  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills; able to communicate and effectively influence outcome at all levels of the organization.

  • Ability to use personal influence to build positive working relationships with subject matter experts

  • Bachelors degree, Masters Degree a plus

  • Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP), Certified Information Privacy Technologist (CIPT), or equivalent professional certification is not required, but preferred

  • Sense of humor
