Summary:

Facebook is seeking an experienced Marketing Manager to join the Platform Partnerships Marketing team focused on messaging, which includes Messenger & Instagram Business Messaging. The ideal candidate will be passionate about the way Facebook can help developers, brands, partners & businesses drive real-world outcomes using our products and services as well as have experience in the messaging field. They will be responsible for marketing to this audience.

This person will be an expert at developing marketing strategies, creating marketing positioning, collateral & various other forms of marketing content for online and offline, and deploying co-marketing campaigns with our partners. We are looking for an experienced marketer and strategic thinker who can drive results and continue to evolve marketing programs as part of the global marketing team. The person will leverage communication skills, have an eye for powerful communication, and the ability to work across a broad range of topics. Excellent marketing, leadership, collaboration and cross-functional coordination are critical to success.

Required Skills:

  1. Develop marketing strategy, planning and execution for solutions & programs for business messaging, including positioning and outbound marketing to drive awareness and engagement

  2. Create global marketing programs, campaigns, go-to-market plans, and events

  3. Identify, develop & execute co-marketing plans & campaigns with key strategic partners

  4. Develop innovative and creative marketing programs to drive outcomes that scale for Messaging products

  5. Work directly with the Platform Partnerships team to drive awareness, engagement and positive sentiment with these audiences through solutions & programs

  6. Create compelling, integrated content (e.g. narrative, messaging, presentations, collateral, videos, pitch decks)

  7. Identify and develop content, case studies and proof points for these products

  8. Become an expert in Facebook's developer products, partners and audience

  9. Partner closely with cross-functional teams, including Partnerships, Marketing, Policy, PR/Communications, Legal, Product, Design, and more

  10. Demonstrate strong understanding of the broader Facebook developer ecosystem and competitive landscape

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. BA/BS degree required

  2. 8+ years professional experience in Marketing or Product Marketing in Internet and/or technology

  3. Experience with B2B and/or B2C marketing activities, including narrative development, online & events

  4. Experience in outbound marketing messaging, positioning and narrative development — online & offline

  5. Demonstrated capacity to communicate complex, large-scale concepts clearly and simply

  6. Experience partnering with Product, Engineering & Partnerships organizations

  7. Experience communicating to a variety of audiences, particularly technical audiences

  8. Experience working in a fast-paced, always-on, start-up environment

  9. Cross-functional, project management, and leadership experience

  10. Analytical experience, communication, and time management skills

  11. Experience managing stakeholder relationships and influencing decisions across all levels of an organization

  12. Experience working in a cross functional environment across multiple time zones and teams

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience marketing to developers, brands, partners & businesses

  2. Experience developing strategy, building & executing co-marketing campaigns with key partners

  3. Experience with outbound marketing across a variety of channels

  4. High attention to detail and proven experience managing multiple, competing priorities simultaneously

  5. Knowledge about helping the developer community
