Vertiv Partner Marketing Manager in Chicago, Illinois

Job Description:The purpose of this position is to provide planning, developing, implementing, managing and measuring support for all marketing programs dedicated primarily but not exclusively to the indirect channel defined today as IT Resellers. Activities include, but are not limited to: assuring all developing product and promotion information is presented consistently, reseller partners and support personnel receive communications, are nurtured and developed to through training and other programs, deliver services and software; create, manage program, MDF/Co-Op budgets, track performance, manage lead and registration systems, review new applications and contracts, assure on-boarding of new partners and partner growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with field sales, representative office channel account managers and Vertiv Channel Management to support program activities designed to increase awareness and end-user leads via partners

  • Design and execute partner recruitment programs to increase partner participation and program productivity

  • Design new program offerings to increase lead generation and productivity

  • Adjust program to adapt to and meet market needs as well as the needs of the partners

  • Measure and monitor partner satisfaction and profiles through existing partner surveys

  • Manage budget and expense tracking process

  • Administer Co-Op and MDF program budget, expense, and tracking of effectiveness

  • Oversee and improve rebates, incentives, and opportunity registration components and track use and suggest improvements

  • Drive and manage the lead process and service level

  • Design and implement end-user demonstration event/tours to drive partner involvement

  • Drive and measure the training certification participation and effectiveness

  • Work with field sales and channel partners to develop or tailor custom sales revenue driving programs

  • Drive the annual partner marketing operating budget and plan development where directed

  • Work with marketing services to create supporting materials tailored to meet partner requests

  • Support product management and marketing in capturing product feedback

  • Introduce new channel programs to the sales staff and to partner base through presentation, materials and other means necessary

  • Create and implement quarterly promotions to support partner efforts

  • Work with channel sales to develop specific volume generation tactical programs as necessary

  • Track and report all promotional implementation, KPIs, ROI and success at the individual account level

  • Manage the Partner portal and related communications

  • Manage report deliver of key measures monthly

Education:

  • B.A./B.S preferably in marketing or general business

Requirements:

  • Minimum of five (5) years experience in a technology value-added reseller or solution provider channels

  • Sales & productivity driving program development and implementation experience

  • Strong understanding of channel sales programs from concept through creation packaging and launch

  • Good managerial accounting and planning skill.

Special Skills:

  • Sales experience preferred

  • Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project skills.

  • Financial skills sufficient for program ROI/KPI planning, measurement and reporting
