The Facebook platform offers marketers unprecedented opportunities to reach and engage consumers. The Marketing Science Research team is responsible for understanding how to measure and increase the impact of Facebook ads and business offerings. In service of this goal, the team conducts research on Facebook's advertising and business platforms, designs research methodologies and consults with product teams to guide product development and strategy.We seek a Manager to direct priorities, manage cross-functional relations, influence product leadership and drive strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in advertising/marketing industry, experience working with cross-functional teams, demonstrate the ability to coach and mentor individual team members and have depth of knowledge in quantitative research methods, data analytics and statistics.
Coach, manage, and develop a high performing team of Marketing Science Researchers
Support individual team member's career growth
Work with a wide variety of cross-functional partners and stakeholder to prioritize projects for the team
Enable the team to create product measurement learning agenda in partnership with cross-functional teams including the respective product team
Create operational and communication efficiencies for the team to ensure their time is spent optimally against company priorities
Ensure the team designs accurate field experiments for product evaluation or best practice development and maintain high analytical fidelity
Be the champion of Facebook measurement methods and Marketing Science Research philosophy to the product organization
Up-level the work of team and broader Marketing Science Research to cross-functional leadership to drive product direction
4+ years in a quantitative research field, such as data analytics, marketing analytics, market research or user experience research
Experience with applied statistics including experimentation or causal inference
Knowledge of advertising/marketing industry
Experience influencing cross-functional teams and strategic initiatives using quantitative research and data
Experience with communicating and partnering with technical and non-technical teams
BS/BA Degree in Applied Statistics, Information Systems, Operational Research, Economics or similar applied quantitative field
Coaching and mentoring experience
Advanced degree (Masters or PhD) in a quantitative research field
