The Position:

The Firm is seeking a Client Reporting and Data Analyst to join the Investor Relations team in its Chicago office. This person will be an integral part of the team and will be responsible for servicing a global institutional client base that is invested across all public securities strategies. The individual will also assist with business development efforts as requested. The person will work closely with the entire Client Relationship Management and Investor Relations team and will regularly interact with investment, finance, operations and legal professionals as well as senior management.


  • Draft, populate and review Due Diligence Questionnaires (DDQs), Requests for Information (RFIs), and database questionnaires, ensuring accurate and timely dissemination of information to our clients and consultants

  • Prepare and distribute monthly and quarterly client reports

  • Help maintain and manage the client reporting distribution database

  • Create presentations for current clients and prospective investors; assist with presentation design and content curation

  • Respond to ad-hoc requests for information and conduct investment analysis

  • Provide support to sales team members related to meeting prep and follow up

  • Utilize internal systems to run and analyze various reports

  • Respond to surveys from industry publications

  • Ensure that all client needs are consistently met and strive to exceed client expectations

  • Other marketing and communications related projects as requested

The Candidate:

The successful candidate will possess the following:

  • 3-5 years Investment/Asset Management experience preferred

  • Bachelor?s degree required (preferably in Finance / Marketing)

  • Experience with public securities strategies and knowledge of alternatives strategies is beneficial

  • Strong writing, proofing, formatting and verbal communication skills

  • Exceptional attention to detail, placing a high priority on accuracy

  • Outstanding analytical, project and time management skills

  • Able to prioritize work and handle multiple tasks to ensure that complex projects are completed by deadline, with interim review steps incorporated

  • Highly organized, proactive and resourceful

  • Active team player with the ability to independently manage a full workload and respond to shifting priorities

  • Demonstrated initiative and good judgment as well as the ability to work well under pressure and with time constraints

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); knowledge of Salesforce CRM, Seismic, eVestment and Morningstar Direct a plus

  • Vacation requests can be limited during peak reporting periods (January, April, July, October); overtime may be required during peak periods
