Capgemini America, Inc. has multiple openings for the position of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Administrator 2 based out of its Chicago, IL U.S. headquarters. The employee may also work at various unanticipated locations. S/he will perform the following duties: monitor and manage ERP / SAP systems and ensure that SAP systems are available for service; maintain complex SAP landscape, involving multiple New Dimension products, on a cluster environment with HA enablement; suggest solutions to benefit clients, such as System Improvement Plan to increase performance, provide cost benefit; coordinates with various teams to implement solutions for client' issues; resolve critical and high priority incidents; carry on database upgrades, migration, and patching; restore database recovery in case of a disaster; provide updates and suggestions regarding disaster recovery plans for clients; analyze organization business processes and systems (financial, logistical, human resources) and automate/optimize processes through a third party ERP system (SAP, PeopleSoft, Oracle); monitor ERP / SAP systems and update to next level for issues observed; serve as a subject matter expert associated with content, processes, and procedures associated with ERP; apply functional knowledge to the design and customization of workflow systems that provide seamless integration for client/server applications; and write functional requirements, develop test plans, and work with production issues.
This position requires a bachelor's degree, or its foreign equivalent, in Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science, Computer Applications, Information Technology, Engineering (any), or a closely related field plus at least 3 years of experience in the job offered, as ERP Analyst, ERP Lead, Engagement Administrator, or a related IT position. The applicant must also have: any period of experience analyzing organization business processes and systems (financial, logistical, human resources), and optimizing processes through ERP system (SAP, PeopleSoft, Oracle); any period of experience writing functional requirements, developing test plans, and working with production issues; any period of experience performing database upgrades, migration, system tuning, and patching; any period of experience executing SAP Basis administration, including SAP technical environment management (configuring, monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting) and scheduling/executing SAP transport system; any period of experience with at least one of SAP Database technologies, including HANA, Sybase, Oracle, or MS/SQL that SAP application data resides in; and any period of experience with SAP Basis support for Sap Application systems running under Linux, Windows Operating Systems, or both.
