What You’ll Do:
Define analytical approaches to solving challenging retail business problems in close collaboration with product management and solution architects.
Develop and validate prototypes; test proposed solutions on real data.
Write algorithmic specifications for forecasting, optimization, and data mining engines.
Present findings to internal and external audiences
Create patents and research new solutions for solving business problems
What You’ll Bring: (Objective Minimum Qualifications)
To be considered for a Software Engineer Intern position in the Retail Global Business Unit, you must possess the Objective Minimum Qualifications (OMQs) below. Please ensure that your application clearly indicates that you meet these OMQs, either on your resume and/or by uploading additional documents such as a transcript.
Will be enrolled in adoctorate degree (PhD)program in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or an equivalent science/engineering field during the 2021-2022 school year.
Have no more than 12 months of professional full-time work experience in the technology field (excluding internships, research and/or teaching assistant roles, and military experience). Have experience with econometrics methods, including regression techniques (such as OLS, MLE, univariate or multivariate analyses, etc.) and statistics/probability techniques (such as Bayesian methods) through your coursework, projects, internships, and/or research.
Have completed coursework, projects, internships, and/or research in four or more of the following:
o Software application design and development using Shell scripting, SQL, or Java
o Algorithm development and implementation
o Publishing and presenting analytics research and results
o Analytic/Statistical languages (e.g. R, Python)
o Machine learning methods (e.g., classification, clustering, deep learning)
Attend a university in the US.
Able to obtain work authorization in the US in 2021.
