This job was posted by https://illinoisjoblink.illinois.gov : For more information, please see: https://illinoisjoblink.illinois.gov/ada/r/jobs/7787164 Byline Bank is currently seeking a Credit Compliance Specialist to monitor and maintain data reportable under the Community Reinvestment Act, which includes small business and small farm loans originated and purchased by the bank; to report to Bank Compliance Officer all required government monitored data in timely manner in readable form. Additionally, the position will be responsible for monitoring and reporting of the Community Development loans. The position will be responsible for monitoring loans for Reg B compliance including providing Notices of Right to Copy of Appraisal and Joint Intent. The Credit Compliance Specialist will also perform a variety of tasks to provide support to the Commercial Banking teams.

Accuracy, good understanding of any sources of financial and government monitoring information; ability to follow established guidelines and practices and ability to work under direct supervision are critical to the candidate’s success in this position.

nDuties and Responsibilities n





+ Weekly Review of generated Reports with CRA Small Loans, CDL and Other Loans and corrections made to the Reporting CRA Database if necessary.







+ Monitor the hmdacra@bylinebank.com mailbox for completed Compliance Checklists from Loan Administrative Assistants and Divisional Assistants (admins should submit the checklist prior to submitting the loan to loan documentation). Review the loan from Nautilus utilizing the loan compliance review checklist.



+ Confirm the loan is in the CRA Database and that the entry is complete and accurate. Once accurate, enter reviewed by initials. If the loan has closed, mark Reviewed/Locked in the database.



+ E-mail the analyst/officer/credit of any errors noted and work with them to correct these errors. Keep an ongoing monthly spreadsheet to track all of the errors made by the analysts/officers.



+ At the end of each month, run a loan tracker report from Nautilus to confirm that all loans with an application date approaching 30 days have a valid reason/comment in which the loan is not yet closed. Technically the analyst/officer should prepare a Memo/Note to the file.



+ At the end of each month, run a loan tracker report from Nautilus of all non-originated (Withdrawn/Approved Not Accepted/Denied/Closed for Incompleteness) loans and then review each loan.



+ Ensure non-originated loans are in Nautilus, along with a proper checklist, and that all necessary information is scanned in. The loan should also appear on an excel/tracking log with details of the non-originated loan.



+ Assist the Compliance department with performing ongoing CRA training workshops.



+ Assist the lending teams with any compliance questions that may arise and continually keep them in the loop with any changes in regulations and procedures to comply with regulatory requirements.



+ Perform individual on-going training with the lending staff, as needed.



+ Respond to all audit reports received that were conducted by both internal and/or external auditors.



+ Communicate audit findings to the lending staff and prepare responses with corrective actions.



+ Communicate any changes and/or updates to Policies and Procedures to all lending units.





nRequirements n





+ A High School Diploma/GED.







+ At least three years of experience in an administrative support role preferably within a financial institution.



+ Familiarity with State and Federal Laws and Regulations is a plus.
