Accountemps is looking for individuals on an accounting-track, seeking an opportunity in the Real Estate & Property industry as an entry-level Accountant. Your duties in this position will include entering data, reviewing financial statements, and creating and manipulating Excel spreadsheets. You will report to the Accounting Manager and be part of a dynamic team with an opportunity for career growth. This role could be a great match if you have an aptitude for Excel, you maintain a positive attitude, and you are open to an entry-level accounting position. For this short-term temporary-to-full-time position, you should be willing to work in Chicago, Illinois.

How you will make an impact

• Investigating and fixing account discrepancies

• Aiding in audit fieldwork for both operational and financial audits

• Put together monthly journal entries

• Performing other related duties and participating in special projects as assigned

• Assisting with full cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes

• Ensuring that accounts contained in the general ledger are correct

Requirements

• 1 year of accounting experience

• Accounts Receivable (AR) experience

• Accounts Payable (AP) experience

• Foundational knowledge in Yardi

• Deep understanding of Microsoft Excel

• Excellent verbal, written, and social communication skills

• Suggested education is an AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business

• Desire to thrive in scenarios of team-based work or independent tasks, always looking to learn more and take initiative on a number of different projects and tasks

• Outstanding data entry skills

• High attention to detail and possesses excellent organizational and writing skills
