BioSolutions Division, Carbohydrates Solutions
This is a full-time, exempt level position.
The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and developing new sales in North America for Carbohydrates Solutions portfolio for non-food applications that includes but is not limited to: construction, fermentation, plant care, packaging, home and personal care industry. This position will not only drive leads through the sales funnel and work with the National Sales Managers, but will also manage channel partner accounts and existing direct customer accounts with important emphasis of growing ADM relationship and footprint with each account.

3+ years of sales experience
Strong interpersonal skills
Proven service and customer focus with ability to build and maintain customer relationships/partnerships with management, R&D, purchasing, marketing and plant production staff
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and report developments to cross functional teams
Willingness to learn, assist and manage all customer channels
Desire/motivation to help promote other ADM products to “key” relationships
Work closely with our customer facing organization to develop and implement differentiated value propositions for our customers
Develop new customer sales, providing pricing and closing contracts
Manage a diverse portfolio of customer accounts
Identify smaller scale business opportunities that would be supported by ADM distribution partners
Be initial contact for ADM Carbohydrate Solutions non-food portfolio that includes dextrose, fructose, glucose syrups and starches
Recommends Specialty “value-added” solutions to customers, including but not limited to, effective introduction of new products, technologies, andprocesses,to strengthen and obtain new business in support of segment growth targets and account plans
Continually draws insights on customer needs and seeks opportunities to translate these into actionable plans and new sales development. Develops and maintains a strong working knowledge of the markets and competitive landscape
Develop targeted customer lists in collaboration with Technical Service, Central Sales and Research teams.
Develop and maintain up-to-date ‘fact-based’ customer development plans
Analyze marketing insights to unlock opportunities for future account growth
Active use and implementation of CRM Tool (Salesforce.com) to document leads and opportunities
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relations in a cross functional environment with other ADM Business Units
Wholly responsible for contracting activities
Ultimately responsible for effective management of cost levers (knowing the cost to serve) and in assisting in the timely collection of account receivables
Bachelor’s degree in Science, Marketing, Business or related field and a minimum of 3 years’ sales and marketing experience, preferably in B2B industry such as, packaging, construction, fermentation, plant care, home and personal care
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Enjoys customer interaction and has a positive attitude and pleasant phone manner.
Strong planning and organizational skills with specific competency in account planning and goal setting
Demonstrated advanced proficiency with windows based software programs (i.e. Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Salesforce.com
- Travel (possibly overnight) is required (10% minimum)
