Jimmy John's Jobs Senior Information Security Analyst in Champaign, Illinois
Ensures the existence of a highly secure technology environment for the company; responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining day-to-day security applications and tools with the long-term goal of assisting the stand up the company’s first security operations center.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Monitors compliance with security programs and protocols across all applicable endpoints, servers and network equipment.
Assists in establishing procedures and standards to assure complete and uninterrupted monitoring and reporting of all information security related activities.
Assures appropriate documentation of monitoring, scanning, and audit efforts and results. Reports activities to appropriate management as required by policy.
Assists in the company’s periodic risk assessments of informational assets and related threats and controls in a manner consistent with company expectations and guidelines.
Participates in the development of information security policies and procedures as they apply to informational assets, networks, and equipment.
Reports security violations to appropriate management and assists with incident response under the direction of the ISO and assures adequate documentation of all information security incidents and related incident responses.
Assists in establishing, planning, and administering overall policies and goals for the system security requirements and baseline configurations.
Gathers and analyzes performance and compliance data/metrics related to the company’s information security and information risk management standards.
Assists the Information Security Officer with additional information security functions: policy, education and awareness, risk assessments, etc.
Understands and keeps pace with current active IT threat profiles and how these threats impact the company.
Implements and oversees Security Operations
Mentors the Information Security Analysts and implements professional development plans for all members
Experience collaborating with technical professionals and working in a team environment.
Experience in specifying and planning information technology.
Experience working with vendors to provide proactive technology recommendations to the company.
Flexibility and willingness to participate in company activities required.
Experience working with multiple units building relationships with collaborative projects;
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously;
Ability to interact with users at all levels within the institution;
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate technical discipline with a minimum of 5 years relevant information security experience preferred.
Certificates or Licenses:
CompTIA Security+, Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), or other related information security credentials strongly preferred.
