Up to approximately 20 -25 hours per week on average. This position is a temporary/seasonal opportunity in a high-volume data entry office and inbound call center. This position is a great opportunity to expand on your one year plus of customer service and data entry experience as well as to use your inbound call center experience. We are seeking individuals who exhibit proactive, attentive, helpful, polite, and professional behavior. With training, successful candidates should have the ability to meet quality control standards of accurately entering a minimum of 20 membership applications per hour and providing accurate phone customer service within 3 weeks of employment. This position contributes to the success of the Chicago Zoological Society by performing all member service functions including responding to member inquires and concerns via telephone, e-mail and in person, as well as membership data entry and customer service in support of the Society's goals of financial sustainability and providing an extraordinary guest experience. PRIMARY JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Answer a high volume of inbound calls on both the internal and external membership lines while performing accurate and efficient data entry. Address member concerns, direct member and non-member questions to the appropriate resource, manage member expectations, seek resolutions to problems promptly, fulfill member requests, and efficiently provide these services in a professional demeanor befitting the expectations of the department and the Society. Create, maintain and activate membership and/or animal adoption records in Raiser's Edge database assuring no prior record exists and utilize the appropriate processes for each type of application. Record relevant information on original application for further processing. Troubleshoot and problem-solve discrepancies as needed. Provide excellent customer service. Enthusiastically and accurately relay information to guests regarding product and service information. Up-sell products and services. Demonstrate effective problem-solving skills to provide guests with essential information to assist them in maximizing their membership and zoo experience. Balance Sales. Process onsite and lockbox membership applications by validating the completed data and receipts against the appropriate register system reports and cover sheets from the bank, totaling the combined sales amount, and sorting the applications. Reconcile this sale amount with expected totals. Troubleshoot and resolve discrepancies as needed. Other related duties as assigned.
