What You Will Do

As an Associate with AMITA Health, you will have the opportunity to perform diagnostic electroencephalograph (EEG) testing.

Responsibilities:

  • Attache, connect, and operate electrodes from specified body areas to leads from electroencephalograph machine.

  • Review patient's record and instructs patients prior to procedures.

  • Monitor patient during procedures and reports any abnormal findings.

  • Identifie and correct for artifacts.

  • Edit and forward result to attending physician for analysis and interpretation.

  • Maintain EEG equipment and supplies.

What You Will Need

Licenses/Certifications/Registration:

  • Required Credential(s):

  • BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

  • Diploma

  • High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical degree required

Work Experience:

  • Experience preferred

  • One year of hospital based experience preferred

  • Knowledge of Kohden EEG equipment
