Leviton Manufacturing Director/Senior Director, Vertical/Applications Marketing in Bloomingdale, Illinois
The Director, Vertical/Application Solutions Marketing works across BU’s to develop Vertical/Application based marketing programs and deliverables to position Leviton as the premier solutions provider. The areas of focus will include traditionally defined vertical markets such as Healthcare, Food & Beverage, and Education, but also application-based opportunities such as Datacenters and Industry 4.0 generic environments. This position develops commercial insight and stitches all applicable Leviton products together to develop messaging directed toward various customers including Specifiers and Distributors to position Leviton as the solution of choice. This position will work closely with the BUs to understand their products and key verticals/applications and incorporate them into one Leviton message. This position manages the Leviton LIVE facility personnel, messaging and content and works with the BUs to ensure the latest and greatest product solutions are on display. This position also works closely with E-Marketing on Website messaging and content.
Works closely with Strategic Distribution personnel to drive messaging, strategies and growth plans in applicable markets and applications.
Manages Leviton LIVE personnel, who also have dotted line to local resource.
Works closely with Market research to identify key areas of growth and market share acquisition, measure, and report on success
Detailed planning and budgeting for all related activities with clear definition of responsibilities (Distribution Marketing and Business Units)
Works with the Business Unit Marketing Directors to prioritize campaigns and programs.
Understand Key Associations and Business Groups, attend events and leverage relationships to gain brand recognition
Research new tools and techniques for increasing brand awareness and growing Leviton’s mindshare and product placement within the Vertical/Application
Define new programs and work with Business Units to prioritize and implement
Ensure consistency of message and materials across the platforms
Work with the customer base to gather knowledge and provide feedback in a clear consistent format to the appropriate internal personnel
Works closely with E-Business to enhance website content and organization
Develops applicable sales messaging, tools and training
Formalize and track performance of Leviton LIVE facilities
Education & Experience
A Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Engineering or Business. MBA preferred
5 to 10 years’ experience in Product Management, Sales or Marketing is typically required
Experience in multi-faceted digital marketing
Past involvement and experience in International markets
Experience in conducting customer forums
