VIVA USA Inc Inventory Control Clerk in Barrington, Illinois
Req Ref No: SRILIC15 Location: Barrington, IL Duration: 1.0 months
Candidate will be responsible to perform an inventory audit at each of their assigned sites. Even though they will rely on guidance and assistance from the site teams, they are to act as an independent auditor, representing the assignment manager and the client, and not be unduly influenced by site teams as they audit the inventory management. To minimize travel costs, individuals should perform the audits of their group within one working week, unless coordinated with the assignment manager.
Detailed process: Individuals will coordinate the date of their site visit with the assignment manager and the respective site manager. They will coordinate preparation with the assignment manager, who will provide them the inventory records for each site. Upon arrival to site, they will complete contractor EHS and safety training as required by that site given by the site manager or designee. They will be shown the inventory storage location by the site team. They will identify and count all the material, logging the count into a spreadsheet. As they count, they will visually inspect the material and annotate any discrepancies on the spreadsheet, such as material that appears damaged or worn. They can share their draft results with the site manager or designee, but they must deliver the report to the assignment manager for final review and approval.
Individual requirements: • Reliable to meet commitments • Professional demeanor to solicit cooperation from the client and customer site team • Ability to influence others to conduct an efficient, accurate, independent audit • Effective communication and organization skills • Equipped with laptop and cell phone • Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle • Access and functional knowledge of either Microsoft Excel or Smartsheets
