The Hertz Corporation Sr Financial Analyst in Bannockburn, Illinois
General Responsibilities
Reports to the Director of FP&A and will include regular interaction with senior leaders throughout the organization. This analyst will get involved in nearly every area of the business: sales, fleet operations, IT, contact center, customer experience, and accounting. It’s imperative that she/he be a fast learner and quickly develop relationships with senior leaders and department heads.
Along with others on the FP&A team, this role will lead the company’s leaders through a continuous earnings improvement process from ideation to execution to benefit realization. They will also partner together to analyze capital expenditure requests, ensuring capital is allocated to the highest value initiatives.
This person will be the primary party responsible for calculating and controlling sales compensation, sales target attainment, and customer bonus attainment on a monthly basis. She/he will support the customer pricing process, partner with the sales operations leader to produce sales forecasts that feed into FP&A/Treasury’s cash and P&L forecasts, and may partner with others in FP&A on budgeting and customer analysis.
In addition to executing the core tasks related to each of these areas of responsibility, this role will be responsible for building and/or maintaining analytical tools and complex models, optimizing processes, and providing strategic thought. Advanced understanding of Excel formula-writing and modeling best practices is critical for success in this role.

Essential Requirements
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance and/or Economics from a top-tier business program
Three years of experience in finance or related field
Record of continuous process improvement, creative problem solving, and Excel modelling
Experience leading cross-functional projects
Understanding of foundational corporate finance principles and fluency in financial statements.
Advanced Excel knowledge including decision support modeling and complex formula writing.
Ability to work with large datasets and properly structure data in a spreadsheet or database.
Ability to perform advanced data analysis and clearly communicate the results.
Ability to understand and clearly communicate abstract and complex concepts.
Must be comfortable working both independently and on teams .
Must be flexible in an environment of constant change and process improvement
Preferred:
MBA in Finance and/or Analytics from a top-tier business program
Oracle Hyperion Planning/PBCS or similar financial planning system experience
JD Edwards, Insight, Hubble or similar ERP and business systems
SQL experience
Salesforce.com experience
Tableau or Qlik experience
Supervisory experience
